Sri Lanka to call tenders for two pilot boats
ECONOMYNEXT – State run Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA will call international tenders to buy two pilot boats, the sate information office said.
The cabinet of ministers approved a proposal by Ports Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe to purchase the boats.
Sri Lanka Ports Authority owns and operates the main port in Colombo as well as smaller ports ringing the island.
The newly built Hambantota port has been made into a joint venture with China. (Colombo/Dec17/2017)
