Sri Lanka to sell 92-petrol and auto diesel after Euro 4 fuel
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka will continue to sell 92-Octane fuel and standard auto diesel next month, an official has said.
Secretary of Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development Upali Marasinghe said 95-Octane petrol and Super diesel will be replaced by Euro 4 fuel, which are made to European Union standard.
"European standard fuel (Euro 4) is highly environmental friendly," he Marasinghe said.
"It will cause to rise efficiency of vehicles."
The prices will not change from the current levels for Super Diesel and 95-Octance petrol.
Petroleum distributors can get a higher margin from the premium fuel. (Colombo/June/16/2018)
