ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s tourist arrivals were down 9.5 percent from a year earlier to 244,239 in November 2019, recovering from a 70 percent fall in May after Easter Sunday suicide attacks, official data show.
Sri Lanka’s tourism promotion office said arrivals up to November was 1.672 million, down 19.6 percent from a year earlier.
Sri Lanka is targeting about 1.9 million tourists in 2019, after initially expecting about 2.5 million tourists for 2019.
