Sri Lankaâ€™s CPC says oil pipeline will be fixed in two days
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s petroleum ministry said a damaged pipeline running from a mooring byouy will be fully repaired in two days and there will be no disruption to fuel supplies.
The pipelines have in the past got damaged during the monsoon season.
State-run Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has started an investigation on the matter, the petroleum ministry said.
Preliminary findings showed that the damaged pipe was purchased in 2012, and there were some questions regarding the procurement, which was also being probed, the ministry said. (Colombo/June18/2018)
