Sri Lanka’s Dialog Axiata invests in data centre joint venture

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan celco Dialog Axiata has formed a joint venture with a unit of St. Anthony’s group to set up and operate a data centre at an information and communications technology park run by the latter.

A stock exchange filing said Dialog Broadband Networks (Pvt) Ltd. (DBN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dialog Axiata, has entered into a joint venture partnership with St. Anthony’s Property Developers (Pvt) Ltd. (SAPD), part of St. Anthony’s group.

The joint venture is to establish, operate and manage a data centre in the Orion City Park in Colombo 9.

DBN will hold a 35% stake in Digital Reality (Pvt) Ltd, the company formed to execute the joint venture, with an investment of Rs262.5 million, and SAPD will hold 65%.
