Sri Lanka’s Senkadagala Finance targets women entrepreneurs
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Senkadagala Finance said it will get loan of up to US$15 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to lend to women entrepreneurs.
A stock exchange filing said the firm had signed an agreement with IFC for the loan which would be in Sri Lankan rupees.
It said the money would be used to grow its loan book for women entrepreneurs, a segment of borrowers the government is trying to support with easier credit.
