Sri Lanka’s DFCC bank opens solar-powered teller machine
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s DFCC Bank Plc, said it had opened a solar powered automated teller machine at an industrial estate.
"Whilst enhancing customer experience, we are also committed to environmentally sustainable business practices, and adopt technologies and processes that are aligned with this strategy," Chief Executive Officer Arjun Fernando said in a statement.
The bank said the ATM will help over 1000 workers at the LINDEL industrial estate, at Makola, Sapugaskande to access their bank accounts.
The bank said its customers can access over 3,500 ATMs in Sri Lanka through a common switch operated by LankaPay, a clearing house.
