Sri Lanka’s main Coronavirus hospital given data, video facilities by Dialog Axiata
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Dialog Axiata said it had provided high speed data links and video conference facilities to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Colombo, allowing them to share information and provide remote assistance to other hospitals.
Dialog said it had given free critical connectivity for video conferencing and internet connectivity for medical and other staff at the hospital.
“This..enabled the health care providers of IDH to share information and provide synchronous remote medical assistance to other hospitals and health care institutions,” Dialog said.
Dialog said the firm’s engineering team installed dedicated leased line and all equipment on the same day they were made aware of the requirement.
Dialog said healthcare workers had been given the required digital tools so that they can focus on diagnosis, patient tracking, mitigation and daily emergency care.
