SriLankan aircraft knocks runway lights at Cochin
ECONOMYNEXT – A SriLankan Airlines aircraft that landed in India’s Cochin airport amid heavy winds and rain had hit two lights at the edge of the runway but the aircraft was undamaged.
SriLankan UL 167 had carried 228 passengers and 12 crew. Non one was injured, the airline said.
SriLankan said engineers who inspected the aircraft certified that it was undamaged but there was minor damage to two runway lights.
The aircraft had swerved to the edge of the runway while landing in heavy winds and rain. (Colombo/May27/2018)
