SriLankan Airlines begin flights to Addu Atoll, Maldives
ECONOMYNEXT – State-run SriLankan Airlines began flying four times a week to Gan Island, in the Addu Atoll of Maldives becoming the first international carrier to operate scheduled flights.
SriLankan is flying at 7.01 hours from Colombo to arrive at Gan at 9.20 hours. The return flight will depart Gan at 9.05 hours and arrive in Colombo at 11.25 hours.
The Colombo-Gan service is part of a strategic shift by SriLankan Airlines to focus on South Asian destinations.
SriLankan is already flying 100 time a week to 11 cities in India as well as to Pakistan, Bangladesh and also Male.
