SriLankan Airlines gets sixth Airbus A321neo aircraft
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s loss-making national carrier said it took delivery Sunday of an Airbus A321neo aircraft, a more fuel-efficient version of the Airbus company’s best-selling airliner.
A statement said it was the sixth and final addition to the Airbus A321neo fleet.
The aircraft arrived from Hamburg via Abu Dhabi on 29 July 2018.
SriLankan Airlines now has six Airbus Neo (for New Engine Option) aircraft and 27 aircraft in total in its fleet with the newest acquisition.
The national carrier has said the Airbus A320neo variants will be deployed on short haul routes and help it cut fuel usage.
