SriLankan Airlines isolates crew members after pilot gets Coronavirus
ECONOMYNEXT – SriLankan Airlines said a colleagues of a pilot who was infected with Coronavirus had been isolated.
“Upon learning his medical condition this evening, all crew members who had come to contact with him during the last 14 days have been put under self-quarantine with immediate effect,” SriLankan said.
“The Airline’s Group Medical Officer is closely inspecting the situation along with the government health authorities.
The first officer had been in Singapore on February 28, 2020 and after he had been on turnaround flights, the airline said.
He had also undergone flight simulator training on March 14 and 15. The simulator is also on lockdown until disinfected, Sri Lanka said. (Colombo/Mar17/2020)
