Two areas in Kalutara isolated as the death toll from Covid rises to 74

ECONOMYNEXT – The government has declared two areas in the Kalutara district, Bandaragama and Atalugama as isolated after several Covid 19 positive cases were found in the area, the National Operations Centre for the prevention of Covid 19 announced today, November 21.

This came as another death was reported from the National Hospital in Colombo where a 70-year old man, a resident of Colombo 2 passed away due complications caused by Covid 19, the Director-General of Health Services said.

This brings the total dead from Covid in Sri Lanka to 74.

The Colombo district leads in the number of Covid positive cases with 160 reported overnight with 71 coming from Gampaha and 21 from Kalutara. (Colombo, November 21, 2020)
