Wanted suspect in Easter attacks arrested in Kathankudy.
A man wanted in connection with the Easter Sunday is in police custody after he was located in New Kaththankudy yesterday (15).
Police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara identified the man as Mohamed Ahmed Lebbe he is said to have links to the Kingsbury bomber Mohamed Assam Mohamed
He also said that a total of 85 suspects have been arrested regarding the Easter attacks and through interrogating the suspects Criminal Investigation Division was able to discover 17 safe houses and 7 training camps used by the terrorists.
Gunasekara said that police had decided to extend the grace period given to the general public to hand over illegal explosives in their possession to police till 6 a.m. of 20 May.
