World’s youngest author on environmental research meets Premier
The world’s youngest author on environmental research, eight-year-old Isuru Arunoda Nakandala, presented a copy of his publication to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on 2019 Tuesday (2 July) at Temple Trees.
The student of Veyangoda St. Mary’s College wrote a book entitled ‘’Horagolla National Park and the beauty of the animals we meet there.’’
In winning the competition, Nakandala broke a previous record for the youngest research author held by a nine-year-old American.
The young prodigy received the elusive title in a competition conducted by Google for the English version of his book, citing his experience at the Horagolla National Park.
The book comprises 6 chapters and is 6500 words long.
